Il y a chez Hermès des sacs qui s’imposent, et d’autres qui accompagnent. Le sac Hermès Evelyne appartient résolument à la seconde famille. Né dans les écuries avant d’entrer en ville, il tient sa beauté de sa seule fonction : une poche de cuir souple, une bandoulière de toile, un grand H perforé soixante-trois trous, pas un de plus et rien qui dépasse.

Ce Evelyne III petit modèle de 2020 est exécuté en cuir Togo, veau grainé prisé pour sa texture prononcée et sa remarquable résistance aux marques du quotidien. Les photographies en révèlent toute la profondeur : un marron chaud aux reflets légèrement pourprés selon la lumière, un grain dense et régulier, des tranches soigneusement parées. Les agréments palladiés mousqueton, anneaux, boucle de réglage conservent leur éclat froid, en contrepoint parfait de la chaleur du cuir.
